George's Market operates as a German deli and market nestled along Calimesa Blvd, serving the community with a distinct blend of traditional flavors and a slice of Bavarian culture. This family-run spot balances the familiarity of a neighborhood grocery with the charm of a casual eatery, making it a practical stop for both quick bites and specialty shopping.

The deli side is where George's stands out, especially around lunch hours when locals swing by for hearty sandwiches like roast beef or the Reuben, often paired with their signature German potato salad or fresh sauerkraut. The atmosphere is informal and approachable, with a small outdoor seating area that invites customers to linger over a draft German beer—something appreciated by visitors looking to enjoy a relaxed, unpretentious meal in the sun.

Inside, shelves and coolers are stocked with European imports hard to find elsewhere in the region: from varied German deli meats and cheeses, such as Butterkäse and Cabanossi, to baked treats like Black Forest cake, poppy seed coffee cake, and Stollen. Shoppers who appreciate authentic German products will find navigating these aisles rewarding, especially for those preparing traditional meals at home.

George's is particularly useful for people seeking a quick, flavorful lunch with a nod to German culinary traditions or for families and food enthusiasts interested in sourcing specialty ingredients. The service maintains a welcoming, no-frills demeanor, capable of handling busy times efficiently without losing the personal touch, something that seems to be a core part of their neighborhood appeal.

Late mornings through early afternoons are ideal for dropping in—both for grabbing fresh bakery items or to sample a sandwich accompanied by a cold beer on their modest patio. The customer experience feels rooted in continuity, given the market’s decades-long local presence and a loyal customer base that values consistency and authenticity over trendiness.

Family owned business with incredible service and German aesthetic. The market has many hard-to-find imports with an wide selection of sweets and beer. Their biergarten restaurant/ deli is also great. Last time I visited, their power was out and they STILL provided amazing service.

The food here is amazing! The breads are fresh and full of flavor, and the cold draft beer was perfect for the hot weather. I was impressed by how fast and fresh the food came out. Even though it was really busy, the service was quick, friendly, and right on point. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Best sandwich I've had in a long time! Lunchtime crowded but I was helped right away and had my food quickly. Staff even helped me decide how to perfect the sandwich. George's is a must for anyone wanting something authentic and tasty!

This really is a hidden Gem, They’re celebrating 55 years in business, which is incredible. It’s a small German market with a deli that makes sandwiches that are to die for. They offer A German beer on tap that goes great with their sandwiches to enjoy on a lovely little patio. The staff is friendly and easy going.

Quaint little German biergarten! I/we stopped to pick up some holiday treats, cheeses, sausages, etc.. I've never tried the beers but hear they have some nice one on tap! While there, I opted for a Ham Sandwich and my mother, who I was escorting, chose Pastrami. Both sandwichs, while simple, were delicious! Rather than traditional rye, the soft white bread they put the meats on was truly wonderful! I have visited Germany and Holland several times and forgot how good simple but great flavors go together by just adding a bit of mayo and mustard with a pickle!
